A new artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for restoration contractors is reducing supplement disputes with insurance carriers by 45%, according to data released by the platform's developer, ClaimLogik.
The system integrates with Xactimate and other estimating platforms to analyze submitted estimates in real time, comparing line items against IICRC protocol requirements, local labor rates from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and historical settlement data from similar claims in the same ZIP code.
When the AI identifies a potentially underpaid line item — such as a missing antimicrobial treatment or an understated drying equipment charge — it generates a documented supplement request with supporting citations from IICRC standards, carrier guidelines, and comparable settled claims.
"Insurance companies have been using data analytics to optimize their settlements for years," said ClaimLogik CEO Jennifer Walsh. "We're giving restoration contractors the same analytical capability on the other side of the table."
The platform is currently used by approximately 800 restoration contractors across 38 states. Subscription pricing starts at $299 per month for contractors handling up to 50 claims.
