Cleanfax Magazine launched a new video series called 'Women Who Restore,' featuring interviews with female field technicians, project managers, and business owners working in water damage, fire, and mold restoration across the United States.
The series, which debuted with four episodes and will release new content monthly, was created in response to reader surveys showing that many women considering careers in restoration cite a lack of visible role models as a barrier to entry.
"The industry has a perception problem," said Cleanfax Editor Jeff Cross. "People assume restoration is exclusively physical, dirty work done by men. The reality is that it's a highly technical, client-facing profession where communication skills and attention to detail are just as important as physical strength."
Early episodes feature a water damage technician in Phoenix who transitioned from nursing, a mold remediation specialist in Atlanta who holds both AMRT and CIH credentials, and a large-loss project manager in Chicago who oversees crews of 20 on commercial jobs.
The series is available free on Cleanfax's YouTube channel and website.
