Numerous severe storms tracked across eastern Iowa, northwest Illinois and northeast Missouri on April 17, producing widespread wind gusts of 60-80 mph, teacup-sized hail and several tornadoes. Significant EF2 tornado damage occurred in Lena, Illinois, affecting homes, outbuildings, trees and power lines.
