The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification announced the launch of its Women in Restoration Scholarship Program, which will provide 50 full-tuition scholarships to women pursuing Water Restoration Technician, Applied Structural Drying, or Applied Microbial Remediation Technician certifications in 2025.
The program, funded through a partnership with the IICRC Foundation and three major restoration equipment manufacturers, covers the full cost of coursework, examination fees, and study materials — a value of $800 to $1,400 per recipient depending on the credential pursued.
Applications opened April 1 and will be accepted through June 30. Eligible applicants must be women currently employed in or seeking employment in the restoration industry, with preference given to those from underrepresented communities and rural areas with limited access to IICRC-approved training centers.
"Certification is the single most reliable predictor of career advancement in this industry," said IICRC CEO Tonilynn Collins. "This scholarship removes the financial barrier that has historically slowed women's entry into the credentialed workforce."
