The EPA updated its indoor air quality guidance this week, warning that floodwater can make indoor air unhealthy and that mold can grow on wet building materials within 24 hours. The agency says source control, ventilation and filtration can help reduce exposure to indoor pollutants, especially for children, older adults and people with asthma or heart disease.
