Renew Environmental Services, a mold remediation and indoor air quality company co-founded by certified industrial hygienist Dr. Priya Sharma and former insurance adjuster Keisha Williams, announced it has raised $1.5 million in Series A funding to expand operations from Atlanta into Charlotte, Nashville, and Tampa.
The company, founded in 2021, generated $2.8 million in revenue in 2024 and has built its business model around a differentiated service offering: every job includes a pre-remediation health risk assessment, a written remediation protocol reviewed by a CIH, and a post-remediation verification test conducted by an independent industrial hygienist.
"We built the company around the standard that the industry should be operating at, not the minimum that most contractors get away with," said Sharma. "That costs more, but it also means we've never had a failed clearance test."
The funding will be used to hire 12 additional certified technicians, open offices in the three new markets, and develop a proprietary project management platform that integrates moisture mapping, photo documentation, and insurance claim preparation.
The company has partnerships with three major insurance carriers that refer policyholders directly to Renew for mold-related claims in the Atlanta market.
