New Jersey (2026 Rollout) - Rebuild by Design

New Jersey faces escalating flood risks with nearly 1 in 4 public facilities currently vulnerable and rising to over 1 in 3 by 2050, driving up property taxes, insurance premiums and utility bills amid $6.5 billion in National Flood Insurance Program payouts since 2019. A recent bond act allocated $1.1 billion for restoration and flood risk reduction, $650 million each for water quality infrastructure and open space conservation, and $1.5 billion for climate mitigation as insurers increase non-renewals in high-risk counties like Ocean and Cape May.
